Interactive gravestone display (unnamed)

Description

A prototype media installation designed to create the appearance of a stone gravestone with moving imagery on its face. The prototype was made out of a wooden frame and transparent acrylic sheet painted to look like stone, with imagery back-projected onto the face of the gravestone by a short-throw projector. Different content could be selected by inserting a corresponding RFID card into an RFID card reader. Content included typical gravestone text, photographs of the deceased person or their relatives, a family tree, and an illustrative social media messaging interface.
