Smartphone-based semi-automated cemetery mapping system (unnamed)
Description
A prototype digital application that collates photographs of gravestones taken by smartphone with their GPS-based latitude and longitude to automatically create a detailed map of the cemetery. The smartphone user annotates each photo with details about the grave, such as the deceased person's name, birth date and death date, and these details are combined with the photograph and location data to populate a custom overhead Google Map. Prototype developed for use at Uncalı City Cemetery in Antalya, Turkey.
