Creative Tombstones
Description
An early attempt to create an experience of "talking" to a deceased person at their gravesite, developed in the mid-1970s. The solar-powered interactive tombstone included an analogue speaker system and, later, a video display, which played pre-recorded audio and visual messages from the deceased. Optional extras included bulletproof glass, voice activation, proximity sensors, automatic grass-trimming and an nozzle for spraying incense.
